10 Pounds to Lose ??

(c) GoingAllTheweigh.com

Whether you have 10 pounds to lose or even some more, you can find all the support you need for your diet online. There are online magazines and other weight loss related forums available to give you advice on how you can reach your weight goal. Some people may feel that if they only have 10 pounds to lose that they should be able to do it on their own, and that they do not deserve the help and support of others as much as someone who has a greater amount of weight to lose.

Keep in mind that in any type of diet plan, they are many factors that are common to all, even those with only 10 pounds to lose.

When many of us begin a diet, whether we have 10 pounds to lose or more, we are excited and motivated, and if we want to stay on track we must continue to be excited and motivated. Often we hit roadblocks or we just don’t lose the weight as quickly as we would like. We are our number one supporters, and even if we have a great support system in place, it still comes down to our own mindset, 10 pounds to lose or not.

Many new dieters, not necessarily new to dieting, just new to a particular diet, may find themselves jumping from one to another diet because they do not have the level of commitment that is needed to reach their goal. They keep telling themselves that one particular diet did not work because of one reason or another, and that this other diet is just what they need if they have 10 pounds to lose or more.

No matter what type of diet a person chooses, it all comes down to the level of commitment and motivation. Exercise is a very important factor as well, whether you have 10 pounds to lose or a hundred. If a dieter does not include exercise in his or her battle to lose weight, then they probably won’t meet their goal as quickly as they would like.

If the goal weight is met, it is likely that unless the dieter continues to eat the same, the weight will eventually come back on. Exercise is so important, not only in reaching fitness goals and maintaining weight, but in maintaining and improving our health.

If you have 10 pounds to lose or a hundred and ten, start a diet plan you can stick with. You will reach your goal weight faster and be glad you did.

Losing Weight on a Busy Schedule. The most successful dieters all have some characteristics in common. First, they all include regular exercise in their schedules, regardless of how busy the day may be. Exercise is necessary to burn calories and fat, and one dash up the stairs isn’t going to do it. For maximum fat burn you should exercise a minimum of 45 minutes per day and more would be excellent. Before you panic, the 45 minutes does not have to be all at once. Research has shown that short, intense bursts of exercise can be just as effective as one long workout, so all you have to do is fit in several short segments of exercise throughout your day. Try walking around your office’s parking lot during your lunch break or walking up four flights of stairs to your office rather than taking the elevator.

Why You Aren’t Losing Weight? Maybe you’ve been doing all the right things: exercising regularly, watching your diet, maybe you’re even using some weights every once in a while, but it just isn’t enough. The change that you want to see is too slow in coming. Before you give up and give in, here are a few ideas about why you may not be losing weight. Quite often there’s a hidden culprit that can be identified if we are willing to take a close look at ourselves....

Jenny Craig Regardless of what weight loss program you’re interested in, Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Boflex, Medifast, or any of the others, all of them work on one infallible principle: if you burn more calories than you take in, you’re going to lose weight. It’s that simple. The hit-and-miss television show The Biggest Looser highlighted this idea, dispelling the fantasy of the before and after photos presented in the weight loss ads of overweight housewives or beer-bellied husbands dropping a hundred pounds in a few weeks. It just isn’t true, which the little disclaimer at the bottom of the screen, “results not typical,” hints at.

Our story may be a bit different from many due to the fact that my wife and I both had bariatric surgery (gastric bypass) 4 years ago. As a result, our digestive systems do not produce near the amount of acids to break down foods that normal stomachs do.

However, the surgery requires an even more careful selection of food. There is an ongoing battle to balance nutritional needs while fighting nausea and pain.

After receiving your material, we have completely changed our shopping list and meals.

We plan our meal combinations much more carefully and we are having fun experimenting with the new recipes.

It then occurred to us, since we have been doing this, we have had pain free days and nights and each day we have felt a little better mental awareness, a sense of wellness, and more "spring in our step."

This system is making a difference. We feel we are on a better path towards a healthy lifestyle.

Thank you! Mark
