Have soda drinks-cokes /fast food etc been banned in your region due to diabetes/obesity etc?
Heard it on tv for California!
Congratulations to Mr Swharzeneger,Governor.
Our diet now consists of 70% genetically modified foods. Good or Bad? Diabetes, obesity, tooth decay, autisium,?
asthma, allergies, digestive problems have all grown to epidemic size in the last 10 to 18 years when GMO foods came on the market. What do you think?
miss america 2006 says this spa treatment really works and gives you a slimmer body?
The body renuex spa claims:
The CHANGES system uses various modalities including electo-muscle stimulation, infra-red therapy, and chromo-light-therapy to achieve a slimmer, firmer body. Body contouring, muscle toning, fat reduction, cellulite reduction and skin tightening can be easily accomplished with the CHANGES technology. Body Reneux is your answer to a slimmer, sexier body
But does it actually work? I know Miss America 2006 has videos posted on the main CHANGES website ( http://www.getchanges.com/personal/…… ) saying how much it helped her and how great it works. They also have before and after photos.
They said that 25 mins of the body system treatment = 3 hours of concentrated workouts. But if it were that simple, wouldnt everyone be doing it? but wouldnt “miss america” tell the truth to protect her rep?
I heard the weight is water weight and easily gained back, but she claims it lasts awhile and WORKS.So if you stayed on a diet and still did this wouldnt it work better
what is the best at home cellulite reduction lotion/firming lotion?
fairly cheap please

How has increased computer processing speed and the Internet contributed to recent medical breakthroughs?
Hi…I’m helping an author write a book. He needs some specific examples of recent medical breakthroughs (say in the last 10 years or so), new drugs, or innovations made possible by the increased processing speed of computers and/or the ability to communicate quickly over long distances via technologies such as the Internet. Suggestions can be in any aspect of medicine, but we are especially interested in cancer, heart disease, diabetes, or obesity.
The more specific details or links you can provide the better, since we will have to source our references in the book.
Thanks to everyone who contributes.
Coupons for surgery? ?
I few days ago I was on Facebook and on the side of the screen I saw an ad about laser skin treatment about permanently removing hair. The slogan they used was “Goodbye razor, hello laser!” So I clicked on it (I felt it was relevant to me) to see what it was all about; I’m interested.
When I got to the website, there was a contest where I could enter my info and have the opportunity to receive a coupon off of a laser treatment. Today, I got on and check my email and I got one from someone by the name of “Cortney Williams” telling me that I’ve won.
This is what the email says:

GOODBYE RAZOR HELLO LASER!”
So, it seems like a great offer, and I’d really like to take it up. However, I’m afraid that this may be just a scam or something I should be watching out for. You know, I don’t want to end up as one of those people you see on Oprah crying about what the fake or inexperienced surgeon did to their skin and body.
What do you guys think? Should I do it?
Ladies, getting rid of that pesky cellulite?
I have a good weight and I am not stick skinny but i’m clearly not fat. I’m healthy. But I have an insane amount of cellulite on my **** AND all over the upper areas of my thighs. Everywhere there. I didn’t have this problem a couple years ago.
Actually, last year I started running (more than I usually do) for a period of 2-3 months and I THINK i recall a big reduction in the cellulite.
Anywho, any tips?! Should i just start exercising more, and more regularly? High activity cardio? More water than normal? ANY TIPS APPRECIATED.
I can’t even go to the beach. it’s embarassing. and a lot of my friends are larger and have virtually no cellulite. and i know for a fact that their diets are not healthy!
What’s the best anti-cellulite treatment you can buy for about $50 or less?
I know that no topical anti-cellulite treatments can ever be entirely effective. However, I also know that lately there have been some products coming out that have had much better results than in the past.
What is the best product available for a reasonable price ($50 or less, preferably more towards the less!)? I’ve seen the Clarins topical lotion, patches, pills, etc. I’ve also seen multiple products available on the Victoria’s Secret website. However, I can’t find any reliable reviews and would like to know what does the best job of firming, what gets rid of those “dimples” the best, and what has the fastest and longest-lasting results.
Thanks for the answers so far! I should have added that I exercise regularly (lifting weights 3x / week plus cardio about 2x per week, although I will def. make an effort to do more cardio). I’m also pretty slim, although not skinny– about 122 lbs, 5′7″… for some reason I have just always been a pear, all the weight I wish was on my chest is on my hips! *sigh*

Is it sad that this generation’s life expectancy is predicted to be shorter because of obesity and diabetes?
Then last generation’s life expectancy?
Is It True That The Main Cause of Diabetes Is Eating Too Much Sugar?
I know that it can be hereditary and that it’s more common for people who suffer with obesity have a higher risk of it, but if you eat a lot of sugar, are you at risk for it too? Just curious!
