Gabby Johnson: Prez is Near asked:

… companies are trying to get rich?

Or will be blame obesity and how people fail to follow their doctors orders?

Do Obama and Pelosi realize that healthcare costs do “soar” when disease rates double because of the lifestyles people choose to live?
Is it easier for Dems to just blame hospitals and medical professionals ?

Would you support a diet-related morbid obesity tax?

I’m not thinking about those people who are obese because of a pre-existing condition like diabetes or a side effect of a medicine. But consider that most obese people are at a much higher risk of getting sick, while taxpayers-based health insurance like Medicaid must pay for their problems. So if you have a person who eats fast food junk everyday and weighs 300 pounds, should they pay some additional tax and why?

2 and a Half years ago I had Lap Band weight loss surgery. It was done by two Docs that had good reputations and after a couple years of research, they were the only ones that took my insurance. They completely screwed up the surgery and I never lost weight, so I didn’t have to tell friends. Only my family knows. Now I am in extream pain and having a surgery to try to repair it. This time I have one of the best Doctors in the world operating on me.

The thing is I don’t want some people to know that I’m having a correction to weight loss surgery. When I had the first surgery, I was riduculed by several people saying that I took the easy way out. Believe me, it hasn’t been easy. I’ve tried every diet in the world plus having a nighmare surgery and months of pain only to be told by those who know that it is my own fault.
It’s going to take several weeks to recover. What do I tell the people that won’t understand, like aquaintences, coworkers, & some of my friends that just don’t get It??

I am 5 foot 3 and I weigh 228 pounds. I have been overweight most all my life (all of my adult life). I have attempted so many weight loss diets, pills, programs and even a gym and my success has been short lived with any of the them. I have been contimplating on looking in a different direction and considering Lapband or Gastric Bypass. My husband is active duty in the army and we have Tricare Prime for health insurance. I have not called Tricare to question if they support weight loss surgery as of yet. I thought I would first see if anyone out here is cyber space has been through what I am contimplating. If there are any military wives out there who have successfully had Tricare Prime pay for their weight loss surgery, or maybe you know someone who has… I would love to hear your stories, ideas and suggestions on how I could possibily get the ball rolling in this matter. FYI- we are currently stationed at Fort Hood in Texas if that makes any difference. Thanks so much.

Has anyone deducted Weight Loss Surgery on taxes?

lettersforlori asked:

If you finance the surgery through a bank, can you still get the tax deduction? And how do you do it? Do I save receipts, and get an accountant?

I have no insurance and my life depends on this surgery, and with the government allowing WLS as a tax deduction over 7.5% of annual income, it seems like my only feasible option.

Any insight into this is appreciated.
